Powerhouse Music Lessons provide music instruction to children, teens and adults from beginners on up through recognized performing artists at all levels of radio, television and film. Powerhouse Music Lessons offers comprehensive personal instruction by highly trained musicians who are committed to the success of each student. At Powerhouse we understand that everyone has unique personalities and needs. We will go out of our way to accommodate both the student and the instructor to promote the best working relationship imaginable. If there is any reason to make changes, we are here to discuss and provide resolution to that end. By incorporating a well-rounded curriculum that includes music theory, ear training as well as performance preparation our approach is balanced and multi faceted. We believe that when fun and excitement are combined with a foundation firmly rooted in skill the outcome is always rewarding. The ability to express ones self musically enhances self-esteem. However, when communication skills are coupled with discipline the combination has proven to enrich all aspects of life.
Musical Theater Summer Camp Starts June 22, 2009
Join us as we create the scrumptious story of "The Scoop". We will write both scripts and songs in a fun and dramatic summer theater and dance program bringing our understanding of fast food and ice cream to the stage. Storyteller Phyllis Kelly brings with her a gift of oral tradition that will serve as the basis for our song and script writing sessions. Our days will incorporate acting and dance everyday as well as tumbling and music. We will write and produce a theatrical musical fantasy that will be performed in our new 3,300 square foot perfomance hall. Your kids ages 5 to 15 can attend five days a week or three days a week. If they are enrolled for music lessons we will be sure they get from camp with an adult to the music school just a few doors away. Space is limited so sign up today!
Be InThe Band
At Powerhouse Music Lessons we know that expression and enthusiasm above all creates a progressive dynamic from which a meaningful musical experience will thrive. With that in mind, our program offers Be In The Band with music director for all rehearsals as well as a finisher who polishes the band up before a show. Performances are scheduled every two months. For our vocal students we offer the Powerhouse Band known as Anonymous to back up their live singing dates.
